Hi Deana,

I have not been on line too much lately. I have Parkinson’s and sometimes I take a chance. I have been keeping up with you as much as I can. I did I catch you on TV at the Grammy’s. I was a bit disappointed that they didn’t spend a little more time on your Dad. It was a nice thing for a fan to see. My son James went out to get the new release of Dean’s but could he could only find the black and white one. I LOVE IT. I will get it later. I pray that life treats you well.

As Always,
Marilyn

PS: I wanted to tell you my Granddaughter Lanee is getting married June 27 She has chosen a song from your album that you sent me. She also chose a song from your Dad. Lanee is my little dark eyed spitfire. She is all of 4’11”. Ok, I am going for now.

Hi Deana,

Good to hear from you. I enjoy hearing you sing when I can catch it on the Internet. Thanks for being so nice

Hi Deana!

How are you? It's been a long time. I want to know if there is anything special planned for this year's Dean Martin Festival in Steubenville? I sure hope I get to make it this year. Last year was pretty hectic, with my son being in the army and getting deployed to Iraq. Hope all is well with you and your family. Have a great day.

Sincerely,

Theresa Workman

Hi Deana,

Thanks for all the updates and I still have fond memories of you signing your book about your father, whom my mother idolized (along with my Italian father-now almost 90) at the Italian Festival for my mother, now deceased. I myself am a huge fan, having all the videos of TV shows and the roasts! Wishing you the best!!!

Hi Deana,

Thank you so much for the autographed picture. Do you ever come to Skokie, IL?

Thank you,

Hi Deana,

Looking forward to the new Deana Martin CD and of course, the movie. Did you choose an actor to play Dean Martin? I watched the Grammy Awards and saw you on TV.

Sincerely,

Bill Mikuliewicz
Uncasville, CT

Dear Mrs. Martin,

I am in preparation of my movie “Acts”, voluntarily and partly only based on the Gospel and my idea was to use the suitable footage or drawn animation transfer of the certain group of the fine and suited performances such as of your father. As it is an artistic project, I certainly work independently. The list of the other representations may be posted later. I would be grateful for any of your opinion or help. With my best wishes to your carrier.

Your sincerely,

Martin Fisher

Hi Deana,

We contacted you a little over a year ago to tell you how much my dad, Charles Meade, has been a fan of your dads for a long time. He lives in a nursing home in Raymore, Mo. You called him...and he still talks about that. And you sent him a signed picture. I just wanted you to know that your picture hangs above his bed right by his and mom's wedding picture and the pictures of me and my brother. Mom died Nov. 4th and we all miss her so much. He is so lonely and still grieving. He has many videos of you dad's TV programs and watches them often. That was Mom and Dad's favorite pass time. Bless you!

Lees Summit, MO

PS: Please let me know when the movie about your dad comes out.

Hi Deana,

I met you at an Italian Fest in Ybor City, Florida. I had met your father in Las Vegas 32 years ago and he is still my favorite male vocalist.

Hi Deana,

I loved your book and think you are wonderful.

Thank you!

Dear Deana,

I read your book, “Memories are Made Of This” and it was very enjoyable. My mom and dad are 100% Italian and great fans of your dad. Years ago I bought my mom a mechanical figure of your dad when you push a button he sings a couple of his famous songs. I want to tell you about a treat my grandma used to make in the 1950s when I was a kid. Its called pizza fritz which is fried bread dough. The easiest way to make is buy some hot roll mix and mix it together, let it raise, fry the cut off chunks in oil, and put sugar or jelly on them when cooked. They are delicious. I wish nothing but the best for you and your family.

Yours truly,

Joe Posteraro

Hi Deana,

I saw you at the 2009 Grammy Awards when your dad, Dean Martin was honored. I saw your beautiful smile when you saw your father.

You smiled with your eyes, your heart was turning big. It was proud of those days, transmitting a piece of your experience for your son. A lip reading of mother to a son
Those minutes, you smiled for him, only for your father
So you are complete, because not just you, but your entire soul was smiling too. Sniff!! Pardon for my English.

Dear Deana and John,

My wife Debbie and I had the greatest time in Steubenville last June. We are looking forward to seeing you both again. The Dean Martin Festival is listed number one on my list of all time best vacations. Meeting you both after reading Memories Are Made Of This was one the highlights.

Taz Sprague
Concord, CA

Hi Deana,

Hi little one. You know, hearing something Bonnie Hunt said when you were on her show that enthralled all of us who are proud to be called Dean Martin fans, is one the sweetest testaments that can be given to anyone, and that is "When I hear his name it makes me smile." That to me means more than any written or spoken tribute. God knows, Deana, the world is in a mess right now, financially and otherwise, but to know that mention of your dad's name makes everyone smile, is just a very special thing. By the way, this is Mardi Gras time in my true hometown and if you and John have never experienced one in person believe me, put it on your list for something to do in the future. It’s quite a spectacle. God bless.

Love,

Chris Cochran

Hi Deana,

What happened to your Uncle Bill? You mention him in the beginning of your book, but never hear of him again. Were he and your father close? Is Jeannie still alive and do you still keep in touch?

Peg Sullivan
Nutley, NJ

Hi Peg,

My Uncle Bill passed away many years ago when I was very young. My father loved his brother very much.

My Mom and I talk all the time and she is just as beautiful as always.

Deana

Hi Deana,

I met you at Summer fest here in Milwaukee. Any news on the movie of your GREAT Father Dean?

Lorry Swosinski
West Bend, WI

Dear Deana,

You are such a lovely lady. I used to envy you as a teenager ‘cause you got to live with Dino. I was 13 and a huge Dino, Desi & Billy fan! Good luck to you and I hope to see you on the Grammy’s.

Hi Deana,

Would love to see one of your performances. Unfortunately I see the dates just ran out. Anything else coming up.

Thanx,

Hi Bob,

I’m in the middle of recording a new album at Capitol Records and once it is completed, I’ll be on tour once again.

Deana

Dear Deana & John,

Thank you for the beautiful autographed picture that you recently sent to us. Deana, what is your secret for staying so young and beautiful? WE LOVE YOU.

Tom & Jen O’Connor
Weehawken, NJ

Hi Tom & Jen,

What a sweet letter. My secret is simple…exercise daily, drink lots of water, eat healthfully…and it doesn’t hurt to have beautiful parents.

Deana

Hi Deana,

This is more of a request than a story or question, so please forgive me! It’s my daughter, Justine's 21st birthday on June 14th this year. She is a huge Rat Pack fan and loves anything associated with your father, Frank and Sammy. We had tickets for your show at Bateman's last year and she was bitterly disappointed when we missed it. I was wondering if maybe you would be able to send her a signed photo or card or something to help make her birthday really special! I know it’s an awful cheeky to ask - but it would mean so much to her! Hoping that maybe we will be able to see your show some other time. (My sister was over from Canada when you were at Bateman's last summer and you were kind enough to have a photo taken with her!!) Anyway - thank you in anticipation.

With very best wishes,

Wendi Cager
Hailsham, England

Hi Deana,

The first time I heard the old time crooner music was Frank Sinatra on a car commercial. When I started looking for his music, I came across your dad, Dean, and I just absolutely fell in love with him. I only wish I had heard about him sooner so maybe I could have met him. Everything about him is captivating. And I read your book and I fell in love with your whole family. I feel like I know all of you. My husband and I were married last year and because I'm in college, we couldn't afford a honeymoon, but hopefully someday we can take a trip to Steubenville to the Dean Martin Festival as a belated honeymoon. Thank you so much for opening up in that book and sharing a part of your and your dad's life that otherwise would have never been known. You painted a picture of him for me that makes me admire him even more. I buy every picture, DVD, book, and CD that I find of your father...music today is just not the same. He was classy, but you know that better than I do. I know you don't know me, but I hope you understand how much your story has touched my heart. And unlike other famous people, you actually encourage people to contact you. I think you are a great person, and being able to tell you how much I admire you and your father has brought much joy to my heart. Every time I look at your book on my shelf, every time I look at a picture of your dad, I smile. Thank you again, so much.

Neva Hebert
Jennings, LA

Hi Neva,

Thank you so for your beautiful letter. I loved your kind words about my dad and my book. Congratulations on your marriage and I hope to see you in Steubenville, OH this year.

Deana
